Bali: Beaches, Spas, Nightlife and Shahrukh Khan
For me, arriving at Bali was a delight for travelers. Nothing could beat travel fatigue better than the friendly smiling faces Bali Customs and Immigration at the airport in Denpasar and the visa on arrival 'stamped on the passport for $ 10 in 15 minutes!
I had heard that Bali was an island of temples, dances and ancestral rituals, with more than 95 percent of the 3 million people practice a form of Hinduism. But nothing prepared me for the spot in the recital of 'Gayatri Mantra' by the taxi driver, followed by a song from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in the same. I was amazed by Bollywood fashion in this city in the Far East, to the point, which was instantly labeled "Shah Rukh Khan the country" by all the local taxi drivers I met!
At the airport, most tourists head straight to the beach areas of Kuta, Sanur, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua, Kuta chose simply because it still is undoubtedly the hub of activities throughout the night life with a variety of shops, boutiques and galleries, what more I can ask!
Bali offers a vast section of hotels for all budgets, from simple and cheap accommodation for backpackers to five star hotels with spa indulgence for those seeking pure luxury. I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel, a stone's throw from the beach of Kuta.
At sunset, Kuta beach comes alive with people who want to enjoy the breathtaking view. Full of tourism, the people selling the colorful sarongs and batiks and a Balinese dance performance somewhere in the endless stretch of beach … and if you want to dance away in the early hours of the morning, you will not be disappointed-pubbing is amazing in Kuta, with a wide variety of pubs and clubs offering a vibrant nightlife.
The best way to enjoy Kuta is simply asking the locals, who are an ever-willing to help. I was fortunate to have a lot of Indian friends success Pridhnani Indonesia-Kishore, who along with his wife Radha took me for a night tour of all the chic places in Kuta. That left a lasting impression on my mind was Ku De Ta, a chic restaurant overlooking the beach. I loved the atmosphere at night and I would recommend anyone to a restaurant.
However, if your type of vacation is to relax and unwind, head to the south of the peninsula, with luxury hotels, world-class self-sufficient in the quiet stretches of beach of Sanur and Nusa Dua and Jimbaran Bay in. (That is also very popular for very reasonable seafood) The white sandy beaches dotted with thousands of mangroves and coconut palms and protected by coral reefs, creating an ideal haven for honeymooners or those who prefer solitude.
To take a break from the hustle and bustle of Kuta, I headed Ubud, which I must say that it has retained the atmosphere of a cozy retreat town, despite the growing tourism industry. Ubud is the arts and crafts capital of Bali, and that in addition to streets lined with many shops and workshops in traditional crafts, there are a number of different art galleries and museums to visit.
Next I went on a cruise of a day trip from the port of Benoa led me to Lembongan Island, a popular spot for surfers and divers. (A approx. USD 60 onwards for the day cruise includes lunch, I think it is worth a visit). By the white sandy beaches of Lembongan Bay, you can take guided diving trips and tour in glass-bottom boat or simply stroll among the native peoples of Bali
If you want to take a break from the beach scenario, I suggest a trip to the mountains cold Kintamani with its green rice fields, the placid Lake Batur which rests on a huge crater and the impressive Gunung Batur volcano dominating the landscape. Nights tend to be cooler, so bring a sweater or shawl hot and make sure you have a camera to capture the spectacular views of Mount Batur.
Bali is one of the Spa capital of the world where you can enjoy a spa treatment at reasonable prices. If you want to enjoy then you can enjoy a menu massage made from Lulur, rice pasta, exfoliation, bath flower petal aroma and indulgent bath cream. I suggest you review some of the spas working local spa therapies in the holiday schedule on a daily basis. And do not forget traditional drinks made of herbs and roots, "jamu", a Bali remedy for fatigue, headaches, aching bones or chills.
For the adventurous and sporty, Bali offers a lot of adrenaline pumping water-sports, both below and above water. Surf, scuba diving, banana boats, scuba diving, parasailing, jet ski, Bungee Jumping, Bali offers it all.
Try rafting on the Ayung River through a wild tropical forest. Walk fast flowing Ayung River, and that sculpts its way with many fast bends and swirls. A full-day program would cost only about $ 35 on, and I found it exhilarating experience.
For lovers of the underwater world and always I wanted to dive, not the spectacular diving and snorkeling off coral reefs around the island virgin, life under water most impressive and colorful. There are even apprentice courses by qualified instructors for the fans (you can take the course of a day for less than $ 100)
And while you're at the beach enjoy the aquatic sports, enjoy the premises, than trying to convince you to braid hair, tattoo or even enjoy a relaxing massage.
If you are traveling with their children, make sure Waterboom Park. My children and I enjoyed a day of water slides and pools in all sizes, with restaurants and bars within reach arms … good family fun for kids of all ages!
When you feel like venturing out for a meal, there are many cafes outdoor bamboo wind that serve authentic Balinese face and in a variety of sumptuous international cuisine. But for those who miss the Indian food, I suggest you try a delicious meal at the Queen's Tandoor Seminyak, where the owners and Puneet Malhotra Neeta out of the way of pampering with personalized attention.
Another hobby big here is shopping!
For those who do not like traveling far from the beach, Sanur, Kuta and Ubud have more than enough to appease any of these buyers, from sarongs and sandals to wooden statues, stone carvings and bronze and iron. But if you're interested in buying, brand you can buy things such as shopping Mahatari also looking for commercial or factory sales of the brand clothes.
You'll find the latest in navigation outdoor market in southern Bali, where traditional Asian style shopping still thrives. You can not see local painting styles. I suggest, they are always in less than a third of the price and even foot, to arrive at the price you want. .
And before leaving Bali do not forget to buy your cold sauce called Sambal (is one of them is good and you can even pick up on the duty free at the airport in Bali.)
Of the local mad with Shah Rukh Khan to the colorful Balinese-Hindu culture, this tropical paradise attracts Indians not only for its natural exquisiteness but more importantly by its culture and the warmth of the people of Bali.
With Bali increasingly accessible and affordable, with packages Cheap extension from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and great deals from Garuda Indonesia Airlines that have daily flights connecting the island for just $ 160 for a roundtrip ticket, I defiantly recommend this island getaway as your next travel itinerary!
