Weld carbon steel pipe Stainless Steel pipe
The welding of the normal processes such as TIG, MIG, and stick can be used to welded carbon steel pipe stainless steel tube. Standard E-class carbon welding electrodes, such as E70 and 7018 can be used for MIG and stick welding respectively. However, using welding electrodes such as welding, welding quality can be compromised due to lack of chromium and nickel in the alloy. As It is therefore important to use electrodes of high-carbon stainless steel for a brazed joint between the steel and stainless steel pipes. In particular, the type of welding electrodes 309 have the right composition to ensure a proper weld a proper penetration and structural integrity. Just Thus, the following steps should be used in this type of welding:
Step-1: Load or spool of MIG welding machine welding wire with type 309 after removing wire is already loaded welding used for other jobs.
Step-2: Replace the third gas shielding gas mixture. It is necessary thoroughly mix the gas before putting the bottle of gas to the MIG welder. The method consists of placing the gas bottle on the floor rolling horizontal side to side to mix the gas thoroughly. After the gas meter attached to the gas cylinder in three parts.
Step-2: Now, turn the MIG welder and set the correct temperature and levels wire-speed. It is essential to note that the standard heat settings (used for carbon steel) will not be sufficient for welding stainless steel as much heat required for welding stainless steel. Best advice is to check your welding to verify the initial test set for heat and wire speed. Once set levels of heat, make a test pass with the welder to see that the settings are correct.
Step-3: Cut a piece of stainless steel tubing and a piece of steel tube carbon with a length with a Band Saw. It is important to note that the stainless steel cutting using a band saw, slow and at the same time the use cutting fluid to keep fresh the band Saw Blade.
Step-4: Must have 20 degree bevel on the end of the cut pieces of pipe. This is done using a grinder holding at a constant temperature of 20 degrees to give a line of filling even. Be sure not to touch the pipe mill because the pipe will become very hot during grinding.
Step-5: Once the edges of pipes are properly grounded, place a beveled end of pipe steel against the beveled end of the stainless steel pipe welding allowing a space about 1/16th of an inch between the two pieces of pipe. Then place a tack weld on the board to keep the pipes together. Similarly, roll the pipes and give way to one inch intervals around the circumference of the pipe. Itos necessary to maintain the right welding 1/16th inch gap across the circle.
Step-6: Now start welding the tubes together. Start welding of stainless steel tubing and slowly get the pool in the carbon steel pipe. Also, turn the MIG gun to flow in a circle the pond to create a good solder while watching the bottom of the weld to make sure proper penetration. During the welding process, if you notice that the carbon tube is cut, it is necessary reduce heat and repeat the MIG welder.
